It gives you the energy to get up and go and keep going. But too much protein can be harmful to those with kidney disease, diabetes, and some other conditions.
By eating the right amount and high-quality protein can help you. Such as, maintaining skin, hair and nail health, build muscle, and even maintain lean body mass while dieting.
Protein help you immune system functioning to work properly, maintains heart health and your respiratory system, and speedy recovery after exercise.
Protein is important to the growth and development of children. It help you maintaining health in your senior years. It can help reduce your risk for diabetes and heart disease.

It can also improve your mood and boost your resistance to stress, anxiety, and depression.
GOOD SOURCES OF PROTEIN
Poultry is the good source of protein. By removing the skin from chicken and turkey can reduce the saturated fat. But try to go organic because non-organic poultry may also contain antibiotics and been raised on GMO feed grown with pesticides.
Fish is the high quality protein source, such as salmon, trout, sardines, anchovies, sablefish (black cod), and herring are also high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Dairy products, Such as skim milk, cheese, and yoghurt is a good source of healthy protein. But beware of added sugar in low-fat yoghurts and flavored milk, and skip processed cheese that usually contains non-dairy ingredients.
Organic tofu and soy are excellent red meat alternatives, high in protein and low in fat. Plant based protein sources are usually less expensive than meat.
PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT
Protein supplements coming in different forms. Such as, powders shape, liquid and bars etc. The most common protein used is whey, casein, and soy. The Whey protein and casein are milk-based proteins, since soy is the plant base protein. It is better option for vegans.
By consuming the right balance of whole foods each day will provide you with all the nutrients you need. But if you can't get the right diet, you may need protein supplements. You may benefit from supplementing your diet if you are;
A teenager who is growing and exercising or playing sport a lot.
Best for vegans, since they eliminating meat, chicken, and even dairy and eggs from their diet.
With small appetite an older adult, who facing difficulties in eating protein requirements in whole foods.

When you add more protein to your diet, drink plenty of water. Because adding more protein can increase urine output, that cause dehydration.
